  • Input your personal PIN.
  • Input the destination phone number of the party to be analyzed.

Engage in a conversation

Once your call begins, you'll be able to engage in a natural conversation without the need to ask direct questions like "are you lying?", remember it's not what is said, but how it's said that matters.

During the call, a heartbeat pulse is played in the background which only you will hear. When the called party is stressed about what is said then you'll hear it beat quicker and then slow down again if they're being truthful. A buzz is played when the called party is suspected of not telling the truth or is in an extreme state of mind.

LiarCard is the most advanced voice analysis technology for personal use available today, accessible from any phone. Invented in Israel by Nemesysco in 1997 originally for security purposes, the technology is well known and widely used by insurance companies, security services and financial organizations around the world.

LiarCard "listens" to the millisecond changes that occur in the human voice when a sudden process starts in the brain and extract some of the attention needed to process the words.

Unlike other voice stress analysis technologies, LiarCard can analyze different layers in the voice while providing an in-depth view into the subject's range of emotions.

LiarCard can detect if your subject is excited, confused, stressed, unwillingly sharing information, concentrated, anticipating your responses and even if your friend really likes you...

The LiarCard technology is a "Poly-Layer" Voice Analysis, which uses multiple parameters (129 parameters to be exact) gathered from every speech segment. Therefore, SENSE can go deeper and faster than any other voice analysis technology.

During the voice analysis process, LiarCard ignores the actual content or words of the conversation focusing entirely on the emotional thought patterns your brain sends out while speaking. It's not about what's said or what questions are answered, it's "how" things are said that matter. The human brain literally broadcasts the hidden emotions underlying the thought process. Here's where the power of LiarCard really shines, opening a door directly to the mind, revealing the true emotions hidden inside.

How Accurate is LiarCard?

Over 95% Accurate
The LiarCard technology accuracy is dependent upon several factors:
  • The emotional involvement and jeopardy of the tested party with regard to what is being analyzed. Jokes and lies of minimal involvement will produce very limited emotional activity.
  • The quality of the input and signal to noise ratio. High noise levels, or too low or too high input volumes (beyond the sound cards ability to record) will produce erroneous results.
  • The test settings and possible uncontrolled interferences or environmental distractions (unless the distraction is part of the test stimuli).

  • "Border line" personality issues or clinical conditions of the tested party may cause strange or inaccurate results.

Essentially, if the quality of the voice is reasonably good and the operation and preparation is proper, the emotional analysis component will be almost 100% accurate. In this case, the technology will properly present how the tested subject is feeling in terms of emotional charge, cognitive conflicts and general stress ("Fight or Flight" syndrome). If the intention to deceive is genuine and this poses jeopardy on the tested subject, (assuming the tested party falls within the standard range of "sanity" or "normality"), then the Inaccuracy and Lie determination will also be accurate more than 90% of the time. (In the latest field research study conducted on 500 passengers in an airport, LVA -the security version of the technology- was able to render an overall accurate analysis in all 500 cases.)

It is important to mention that False Positives (false detection of False statements) may occur if the tested party is asked personal questions which cause embarrassment AND the subject feels cornered or pressured to answer. In these situations, the system may mistakenly consider the heightened stress and embarrassment levels as indications of a lie. However, these situations are rare when the subject is voluntarily providing information, i.e, during his free description. It is also important to take into account that sometimes, more insightful subjects will provide a logical answer that will be a "good enough" compromise on the truth in their mind, and no (or very little) stress will be registered. (False Negatives)

Why Do People Lie?

Mainly people lie for two reasons. One, they're hoping to avoid trouble. Two, they want to take advantage of you. We learn early in life certain situations either lead directly to pain, or to pleasure. Due to our human nature, we want to avoid pain at any cost. On the other hand, we'll take all the pleasure we can get. Lying sometimes seems like the easiest way to get there.

LiarCard technology differentiate between 5 types of lies:

1. Jokes - Jokes are not so much lies as they are untruths, used to entertain. No long gain profit or loss will be "earned" from it, and usually, little or no extra feelings will be involved.

2. "White Lies" - You know you don't want to say the truth, as it will hurt someone else. White lies are lies, but the teller usually experience no stress or guilt.

3. "Embarrassment Lies" - Same as for white lies, but this time directed internally. You will loose nothing but the respect of the listener, most likely for the short term.

4. "Offensive Lies" - This is a unique lie, for it's intention is to GAIN SOMETHING EXTRA you couldn't gain otherwise.

5. "Defensive Lie" - The "regular" lie. You can't say the truth because it will hurt you.

Why Not Use a Lie Detector/Polygraph

Although you could use a lie detector, or polygraph, in an attempt to find out if someone is telling the truth, that technology has a couple of severe restrictions not faced by LiarCard voice analysis technology. A lie detector, or polygraph, only measures physical changes brought on by the perception of threat, often called the "Fight or Flight" response. This requires two things to ensure accuracy of the test.

Two Negative Requirements…

  • One - you need a skilled operator to administer the test.
  • Two - your subject must either be willing to participate, or forced to.

During the "Flight or Fight" response, the human body reacts to threat, excitement, conflict, and yes, even pleasure in much the same way - preparing for action. This generalized reaction makes the polygraph a perfect tool for some applications, but in real time lie detection, it's got some real disadvantages. First, it can't clarify a situation past a yes/no answer in response to specific questions. Secondly, the process assumes the question isn't associated with any other unrelated emotions as well.

On top of all that, a polygraph test takes at least 90 minutes and costs a minimum of $500. And if that isn't enough already…

Even more limitations include…

  • The subject must be in good health with no aches or pains of any type
  • The subject can't have a headache during the test
  • Pain medication interferes with the test
  • If prescription drugs are being used, a doctor must be consulted first.
  • Pregnant women can't be tested
  • Limited in function to working with an already prepared questionnaire of yes/no answers and based on facts available to the polygraph examiner at the time.

Simply put, these limitations restrict the flexibility to the point of making it useless for lie detection.

On the other hand, LiarCard technology works accurately during a 2 or 10 minute phone conversation. Not only that, the person you're analyzing for "lies" never knows you're taking a peek inside their emotions unless you tell them. If for no other reason, this helps make sure the truth reveals itself.
